need help with account linking

Thanks for reaching out about account linking. There are a few important things to know before changing or removing links.

An EA account can only be linked to one Steam account in its lifetime, and that link is typically permanent. If you unlink the Steam account, you won't be able to link a different Steam account to the same EA account. Further, the Steam account you unlinked won't be free to be linked to a new EA account. 

If you'd still like to unlink the Steam account, please know it can lead to a loss of all game entitlements, progress, and content. Once it's disconnected, that data can’t be recovered or regranted. 

Before making a decision, I'd recommend reading our EA Help guide fully.

In cases like this, it's best to know all you can before going ahead. 🙂

what i understand is that once you unlink a steam account from ea account you cant link to any other steam account ?

heres my situation i have the game on a steam account that i dont have access to and is linked to my EA i bought the game on my nw steam account and im asking if i can link that EA to the new steam account , will it lead to loss in progress and content or it "it might"

Correct! Each EA account can only be linked to one Steam account ever. Even if you unlink, that EA account can’t be paired with a new Steam account down the line.

You can't. If your EA account was already linked to a Steam account (even in the past), it can't be linked to another Steam account.

What can happen:

• If you unlink the current Steam account from the EA account, you'll permanently lose access to your data, content, and progress. 
• If you link the same Steam account back to your original EA Account, you may be able to get your stuff back, but EA doesn’t guarantee it, and there’s no way to transfer that progress to a different Steam profile.

These accounts aren't designed to be unlinked. 😅 Our EA help guide covers all of this and more. When you get a chance, do check it out.

oh so confusing if ea can only be connected to 1 account why give an option to unlink thank you for covering everythin and helping anyways , luckily i didnt fall for that hahaha
