Old Gmail is inaccessible, help

Hi all,

When I made my EA account it was with an old gmail account that I made back in 2007 and since then it has been completely filled in memory with no capacity to receive new emails. It is also overloaded and I cannot find a way to delete sufficient memory from the account to make it active again. What is the alternative that I can do because when I try to change the email, EA wants to send a confirming code to the old email and I can't even add a phone number to the account. I'm unsure of how to move forward. I'm not locked out of the account, my password still works.
