Reconnecting an EA account to Steam

I have the same problem and EA support has been useless. Its been a week and the replies from the "support" have been copy paste AI generic suggestions, just giving you the link to connect the steam account. Don't waste your time, start the refund process from whatever platform you bought it. Locking you out of your purchase for a year after one accidental login is insane on its own, but the inability to fix it after a week is just unacceptable.
