Steam account linked to defunct account preventing access to owned games.

I just made this account trying to get my Mass Effect: Legendary Edition to run through steam. The app says "There's been an error" and "Try resetting your password and restarting your game". The problem with that is the account my Steam is connected to is long gone. Completely inaccessible. I made this account and tried to link it to my Steam but the old defunct account is still there. The AI running the support chat ran in circles and apparently isn't capable of either helping or connecting me to a real person. So I guess this post is just asking for a real employee of EA to talk to me and see if we can resolve this without me swearing a binding oath to never interact with this company again.

Never mind. I got. I look forward to never interacting with this god awful "support" system ever again. It's very unlikely I'll ever buy anything from this company again.

I can't reset the password for that account because the email it's attached to is gone. The host no longer exists. It is literally impossible to get it. The bot doesn't do anything but link to help articles that tell me I need to talk to support, so when I tell the bot the article isn't what I need it just resets it's whole script.

    Hi Krade2k,

Thank you for popping up that screenshot! It really helps get a better picture of what you're running into. It looks like a disabled EA account. In our forum blog '[GUIDE] EA Account Help: Disabled Account',  it shares this:

Trying to log into your game but getting a message that your platform account is linked to an email ending with @disabled.ea.com?

This means your EA account has expired and has been disabled, usually because of inactivity. To fix it, find the right email you used for that EA account and reset your password. Once you do, your email will replace the @disabled.ea.com one, and you’ll get access again.

If you don’t know the email or can’t access it anymore, contact EA Support. They can help you find your account or unlink your platform so you can connect it to a new EA account.

We can't assist with these issues through the EA Forums, so you did the right thing by trying to connect with our live support team through the EA Help site. Only they can take a look into this if you're having issues recovering the account yourself.

Let's try to figure out what about the EANextStep bot is looping on you. Can you share the AIi chat conversation and the options you've selected so far?
