Unable to Link PSN & EA
Hello
I’m having trouble linking my child’s EA account to his PSN account on a new PS5 console. The error message displayed is:
“Your EA account or your PlayStation Network account is ineligible for linking.”
Here are the full details for reference:
- Parent PSN account on Playstation for parental controls
- Parent EA account linked to own personal PSN
- Parent already owns a PS5
- Child PSN account all set up
- Child EA account email / Public ID already setup as he plays EA26 on old xbox
- Child PS5: New console, first-time setup
- Game involved: EA Sports FC 26 (EA26)
Steps we have already taken:
- Created a separate PSN user for my son on his new PS5.
- Verified that his EA account credentials are correct and the account is active and verified.
- Attempted to sign in via EA26 on his PSN profile, but received the ineligible linking error.
- Confirmed that the PSN account is not previously linked to any other EA account.
- Ensured both accounts are verified and functional on the EA website.
Problem summary: The EA system is blocking the linking of my son’s EA account to his new PSN account, even though both accounts are correct and active.
Thank you very much for your help,
Ashley (Very confused parent.)
