A Way Out - Region restrictions

Does anyone know for sure if I buy this in the US, will I be able to use the friend code and have the second player be a buddy of mine in the UK without switching either consoles region settings? Forgive me if this is a silly question but I have searched everywhere I could think of including these forums and couldn't find any info. Thanks in advance!

    The game is blocked for purchasing here in Saudi. Don't know if invites work the same way, but your friend might need a vpn if the UK has similar restrictions.
