A way out invite not working (ps4)

When I click online. It says authenticating but ps5 says unable to connect to ea servers.

I have play station plus

Same, cant' play on online.

So this game caught me and my friends eye specially since it seemed like a bit of a selling point that only one person has to buy it then can invite a friend to a free version to play it with them. Well my friend bought it 3 days ago and every single day she tried to invite me but it just continually says can't connect to ea servers. I check server status all 3 days and it seems fine. Help or refund. 

I am trying to play it takes two with a friend through Steam. They have the friend pass, I have the whole game. We have played before, but recently swapped to the ea app from origin. We tried to play online tonight for the first time since swapping to ea from origin and while we could both "send" invites to each other, neither of us was receiving the invite messages no matter what we tried. The ea overlay pops up fine, but the invites just don't seem to be received even though they give a little "invite sent" confirmation. Help??

when i get an invite from my friend who is using Xbox Cloud to play the game and i try to accept the invite i get an "ms-xbl-multiplayer" error which gives me option to run just other games and not "it takes two" i have tried every possible solution even wen to the settings to change the default app for this protocol and also tried to change it from the registry but nothing seems to work can please help me with this
