Can't Hover to ledge and progress after battle in Hand of Sandrakk Quest

Hi! So I'm at the "Reach the Leyline" portion of the Hand of Sandrakk Quest (PS5). I moved the giant tree and the floating block into position, climbed up and attempted to hover to the other side (in several different directions, multiple times), and hover always brings me just short of the edge - I never can make it. Has anyone else had that problem? Can't progress unless I figure this out. How do I get to the other side if I can't hover there? There doesn't seem to be another way across... Thanks!

    If you are in the position I think you are, once you have the tree up, the hovering block turned long way it should just be a run, jump, double jump and then hover......

    Yeah, that’s exactly what I keep trying and it doesn’t work. ☹️
