Can't start local game on PC

Just bought and installed for PC, when trying to run local game it says to Press A for Player Two but nothing happens when I press A??

Basically cannot start local game!!!!

    finally got it straightened out ,it was something that was failed to be said/mentioned from the start and that was it is a full time 2 person play game ,you cant play it alone so i was refunded
