How do I gain access to the inbox?

How do I gain access to my inbox? My friend is trying to add me so we can play “It Takes Two” but it doesn’t work under Xbox and says to use EA Connect.

But I don’t own a PC and there’s no mobile app for EA Connect and I can’t find notifications of her friend request.

And for some reason, it says I just made this account TODAY when I’ve had an EA account under this email for YEARS

    After making that post, I was able to gain access to the inbox.

    But yes, I’m on Xbox and she is on PC

    Apologies for confirming but are you on Xbox and your friend is on PC?

    Also, would it be possible to get a screenshot of the error you get?

    @EA_Illium My Steam account automatically registered and linked to an EA account when I opened the game. I found that it could not add friends and could not receive the email code. Could you tell me what to do?
