Impossible to progress: "Talk to Kirkan" at Glaivegate

Upon being asked to return to glaivegate to speak to Kirkan at about 94% progress, I found the Achromatic Fane, upon leaving the fane (didn't do anything yet) I proceed to Glaivegate and cannot get in the main building. I now cannot leave the area as a gate has appeared on the path near the shatterfane. My save file appears to be boned.

You have got to fix this as restarting the chapter will revert a lot of backtracking work I did after the Shrouded Realm section.

This has really soured my feelings towards a game that I thought was underrated. What a shame.

I'm playing on Xbox Series X.

    Hey @GlacialSpoon

Thanks for this, passing it on for the team to be aware of.

To check have you already seen if a complete reinstall fixes this? If not back up your saves to the Xbox cloud system (if you don't already) and see if this persists after.

    Cheers!

Hi @GlacialSpoon, Can you try one of the back up saves? If you select the load game option from the main menu, you can load older saves on your current game.

  • Thanks, I thought of that, but faffing with the fane borked that possibility.

    Hey @GlacialSpoon

We may have to use the restart chapter option, but do you possibly have a video of where you're stuck?
