Split Fiction Crossplay Issue

Question

I am trying to play Split Fiction with a friend. I am on PS5 he is on PC. I bought the game, he has the friends pass. We both are friends on EA and have crossplay enabled. When I send him an invite he doesn't receive it on his end. We have been trying to get this to work for the past 2 hours but it hasnt worked at all and he hasnt been able to join the game. He simply doesnt receive the invite when I send it.

Yes we are friends on EA. Yes we have both tried deleting and redownloading. Yes we both have crossplay enabled. Yes both of our systems are capable of running the game. Yes we have tried logging in and out of our EA accounts. Yes We have tried unfriending and re-friending. Yes my friend has tried downloading the friend pass specifically through the EA servers rather than steam. Genuinely shocked at how frustrating this is. Been trying to get it to work for the past 3 hours of my day I just wanna play the game :(

Have your friend on PC (or whichever one has the friends pass) select Host a Game from the main menu, have them select "Host from EA server", and then have them manually type your EA username to search and add as a friend.

Had this EXACT issue and just figured it out. Hope this helps!

I have exactly the same problem, sometimes the invitation appears for 1 sec but is almost impossible to acept it and when I´m able to do it an error appears on the screen about ea server and is impossible to conect.&nbsp;

Same Issue, but it seems like my friend on Pc isn't getting my invites. My crossplay function is on but they aren't getting the invite via Steam.

Exact same problem, PS5 to PC crossplay and the invite disappears after a second and doesn't work even if you catch it. Tried everything and completely lost.

I can't believe this worked lmao, didn't even occur to me to try hosting it from the account that doesn't own the game. Thanks!
