Solved

It takes two cannot be played on switch

I just purchased the full game of It Takes Two on Nintendo store. But whenever i started the game, it always recognized me as a friend pass version instead of full game. How can i solve this problem???

  • @EA_Illium Not sure if I exactly got your idea but it worked finally. Originally i was downloading It Takes Two in SD card and i guess that’s why system couldn’t read the file. I switched the game to the device storage and i can play the full version now! Thanks!

Hi @masonlukeeeee We can try the following steps for the Switch, let us know if you continue running into issues after checking them out!

    Spoiler

    Clear Cache:

    1. Open System Settings on the HOME Menu

    2. Then select System ⇒ Formatting Options ⇒ Clear Cache.

    3. Select the user you'd like to clear the cache for, then follow the on-screen instructions.

    Data Corruption:

    1. Open the System Settings from the Home menu

    2. Go to Manage Software and select Apex Legends

    3. Choose Check for Corrupt Data

    4. Choose Redownload if it finds any corrupt data

  • Hi @EA_Illium, so I have just redownloaded the game even the system says there was no corrupted data. But still the game is only offering me the friend’s pass version! Is there any other way to let me have the full game? So looking forward to the later chapters!

Hi @masonlukeeeee Thanks for trying those steps, If you search for "It Takes Two" in the switch store can you see both the friend pass and the full game version? If so when you select either does it show download, install, purchase, etc?

  • Hi @EA_Illium I can see both It Takes Two (bundle) and It Takes Two (friend’s pass) in switch store and they are both purchased. However if I click into the bundle, I can find another It Takes Two full game version which shows “not on shelf” even though I think I have downloaded the full version when I purchased the bundle previously. How can I find and get the correct full version?

Hi @masonlukeeeee The bundle version should be the full game version, if you click on the ITT listed in its description I believe it will give an error.

Once you first open the bundle version what does it show were the download should be?

Hi @masonlukeeeee That's great to hear! I didn't think the external would make to much of a difference. For reference what type of SD card do you have for the external storage?

Also, hope you can enjoy the game now!

  • Hi, I have the same problem. I purchased the bundle on the Nintendo store. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it on the internal storage with no success. Once, I enter the game it seems to not have recognize that I purchased the full game. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Y'all.
