It takes two crashes upon start

Ea desktop is garbage software, not working at all, cant download it takes two friends pass just stuck on the preparing stage. Trying all the dumb workarounds loke clear app data reinstalling and run in connectivity mode or administrative access. One copy of the game were bought on the steam and truing to start the game with partner on the seconf pc. Downloading from steam the game itself and friends pass on the second pc is fine but the ea just crashing while starting it from steam itself. So i trying download it from ea app and of course it does not work. On the main pc bought version launcing just fine. If you said me to run the app i need to load windows in special mode i would said it also not work and even not straightforward. If you are release game on the steam why you cant even test it workabality

Also, the game is not in the EA  library. Also just bought the game via Steam. And the same problem.

Hello, I bought it takes two on steam however when I try to open it it simply says "preparing game" for roughly 5-20 seconds then i get an error that reads "The app crashed unexpectedly" then when I hit restart the ea app opens. My EA account and steam account are linked but on EA it doesn't allow me to open It takes two, and when I look it up in the ea store it shows that I haven't bought it, when I clearly have. I've been scowering the internet for for solutions but most "solutions" lead to downloading origin which did not work for me. I've seen others with similar problems but nothing quite like my own, and am seeking assistance.

I recently purchased It Takes Two on Steam, but when I try to open it, all it says is "preparing game" and right after that I receive a crash report saying "The app crashed unexpectedly''. I have tried to restart my PC and everything but nothing works. My EA and Steam accounts are connected. I have searched the internet for answers, but a lot of people seem to be having this problem at the moment. I wanted to play this game right after it downloaded... very disappointing.

 ive been trying to play it takes to for the last three hours, it refused to start on steam, as EA kept crashing. So instead of having to go through both steam and EA i decided to install it through just EA. i requested a refund on steam and bought it takes two for the second time on EA. At this time my girlfriend told me that she has it for free, as part of her xbox plan. So i deleted it and requested a refund on EA games this time. then i went back to the EA store where i could not download the friends pass, as it told me I still had the game owned. I tried to start the game even though i requested the refund and it didn't start. My order history said the refund went through and i don't know what to do now. if i could have the game removed from my account i believe it would allow me to download the friends pass. thank you, please fix this for me, i want to play this with my girlfriend.

Not sure if you're still having this issue.. happened to me and found this poll and did some more digging. i clicked on chapter to select and realized it was on the last one when it should have been on 'intro", after selecting intro it didnt crash anymore and game runs smoothly
