It Takes Two downloaded and owned but maybe not purshase?

Hi, 

I think (but now starting to doubt) I bought the stardard edition of "It Takes 2" last year  (2022) but Ive only just decided to play a couple weeks ago.

As you can see in the screenshots, it says the standard edition is owned and I have been able to download the full 44.7 GB. 

However, when I launch the game, it asks me to purchase the full game which is weird because is says I own the stardard edition and have been able to download the full game. When I click "purchase full game" it leads me to the store but once i click on the games, it goes to my library (because its already owned). EA told me the issue should be resolved after clearing caches, which I did, but the issue is still there.

My other weird issue is that can only see it my order history the trial but not the game. I also didn't receive any order confirmation so EA said they could not help me unless I had it.

Would it be possible for me to have been able to download the full game if I didn't buy it? 

  • Hi @imthirded, Can we try uninstalling any copy of ITT you have and verify all files removed. Then reinstall via your client (where you purchased a copy).

    Make sure to backup any saves you have to the desktop incase we run into additional issues.

    Hi @Mathildek21 To confirm did you play on a trail or through the friends pass prior to purchasing the game? If not, have you ever had an EA Play subscription before?

  • I'm not the original poster but I also need help with this.. Just bought it yesterday and was about to play today when it asked me to buy again but I couldn't cause I already did.

  • Same problem. I got the trail, and now that I have signed up to EA Play through steam the game still only allows for trail game. I uninstall and cleared the download cache. Any other ideas?

    Hey @baconsteelclaw 

    Recently ITT had an update that changed a bit on how it launched. Would it be possible to get a video or screenshot of the message you're currently seeing? 

    If it does believe you only have the Trial version, I would recommend uninstalling the game with a program similar to Revo (or one you might already use) and ensuring all files are deleted and removed from your PC. You may even want to try cleaning your device with something like CCleaner. 

    After restarting your device, try installing the full game version again to confirm if the same issue persists.
