Facing with the same error. This steps fixed for me but temporarily
- Share hotspot internet from mobile phone.
- Connect to hotspot from Nintendo switch
Issue appears only when i connect to my apartments' wifi. Dns change didnt solve the issue.
This will only work if you had a Nintendo network ID account back in the switch and 3ds days
I just fixed this now. You need to unlink your Nintendo Network ID from your Nintendo account, then unlink your EA account from your Nintendo account again. When you try the friends pass again, you can relink your EA account to your Nintendo account.
Nonetheless, I'm disappointed in EA's lack of action to resolve this issue.
I have been having the same issue and it only worked once and once I closed the game and reopened the game it went back to giving me the same error code again and one thing that did fix it most of the time was relinking my EA account but it only worked once and I cannot redo that every time because I can only do it every 6 months thanks a lot EA.
