Lost in Random Game Not Loading

Question

I had installed LiR on Steam and had played for over 20 hours and I was reaching the end of the game. I went to play the next day and the game loaded but all the information was in ID codes and the game wouldn't load. I have tried everything from reinstalling, updating drivers, updating software, etc.

I'm not sure if there is something I am missing. I am including a picture of the ID codes on start up of the game.

Please help me because I really enjoyed playing this game and I would like to finish it.

I am having the same problem, and none of the above options have fixed the issue. It started fine the first time, but as soon as I went to the options menu and tried to apply subtitles, the entire game seemed to glitch and start showing only the text image IDs, not the actual text images. I included pics of what it showed after restarting the game, and various launches after each of the above fix attempts. The game no longer loads any further than the loading tips screen, but will load different tip labels when prompted.

having the same issue and weird text IDs as above. It happend after I changed the game language ingame. will refund as its unplayable.

It sounds like the game files may have become corrupted, especially if you're seeing ID codes instead of normal UI text. Since reinstalling didn’t help, try verifying the integrity of the game files through Steam. If the issue persists, it could be a problem with your save file or config files back them up and try resetting those too.
