Option to disable button mashing

My partner and I are having a great time with the game.

The only thing that makes it harder for us to enjoy it is are the button mashing sequences on a few cut scenes.

The mashing required is not minimal on such sequences, and requires quite a bit physical effort, specially for my partner that is not a seasoned gamer.

It would be great to have alternatives for such interactions.
