Can't download split fiction friend pass on EA app

ProvKnight When you start the download, will it go to the same drive where you have the EA app installed?

Do you get to this screen?

The first time i tried yes it was going to install on C drive but i changed it to another drive and whenever I try it suggests being installed on that drive.

Yes, i get this screen and it proceeds to the download page, and it says "installing" but then a popup appears saying that i don't own the game. EA_Shepard 

ProvKnight I would delete or uninstall any attempts to a different folder and test it on the C drive if that is where the EA app is installed to test it. The other drive can cause permissions issues.

I just started the install to test it and it is working, so I am guessing a different drive could be the issue.

I just tried it on different drives and it would give me the same issue, i don't know how to uninstall any attempts if it doesn't create any folders. any guide on how to completely uninstall the EA app and clean all residue files in order to have a fresh retry?

ProvKnight First you want to clear the EA app cache, and then proceed to the rest of the steps.

You can manually delete the folders for the game and the EA app by following the same folder location as the C drive, just within the other drive. 

For example:
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Split Fiction
D:\Program Files\EA Games\Split Fiction

EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
 
Delete Windows Temp Files

• First, make sure you close as many programs as you can
• Press the Windows key + R, go into the file explorer
• Type in %temp%, and hit Enter
• Delete everything it allows you to delete
• Reboot the PC

Optional Registry clean-up

• install Revo (it's free) from here
• Run Registry cleaner
• Click review selected issues
• Do you want to back up? No
• Click Fix all selected issues

i have same problem and clear app cashe didnot work and i keep getting this msg  and im downloading it from friend pass

I'm also experiencing the same issue, I cannot download the fiends pass

when I first click the 'Get FRIEND PASS' I get this error

Clicking close take me to the next pageto select download location
after clicking next I get the terms of play page

The game goes into the download queue for a few seconds
Then finally the 'you don't have access because you dont own the game' error
