System
- OS: Windows 11
- Processor: Ryzen 3700X
- RAM: 32GB DDR4
- GPU (including Manufacturer): Asus TUF Gaming 4070 Ti
- Driver Version: 528.49
- Refresh Rate of Display: 144hz Ultrawide
Game
- Current Experience while playing, please describe how the game runs for you: Frequently stuttering, and camera movement isn't smooth. Cannot maintain a steady 60fps.
- Current Preset Graphical Settings Selected: Highest, but have tried on the lowest settings as well with no real noted improvement
- Resolution Selected: 3440x1440, but have tried lowering resolution as well w/ no improvement.
- Average FPS (If Known): 35-60fps, hovering in the mid fifties. Even at the rare times when it is at 60 something feels wrong with the camera movement. I'm using the Steam built in FPS tool.
EDIT: Gave it another try today, running at 3440 x 1440 @ the standard preset w/ vsync off. Not sure if something changed in the meantime, but I am noticing a much more consistent 60fps, however there is still significant frame time spikes (as measured by RTSS running alongside the game) which hurts the experience.
EDIT2 02/20: Noticed a significant improvement in frame pacing by setting the in-game FPS cap to unlimited and then capping using an outside piece of software, right now using RTSS. Perhaps the cap implementation needs work?
