Xbox Error code 4, unable to access add-ons and upgrades

I paid for the add one on wild heart and it not showing
wild hearts

    Hey all, 

    We've released a fix today that should resolve this issue. If you're still seeing Error Code 4 when attempting to access your DLC content please fully power cycle the console (hold the Xbox button on the console itself for 10 seconds), then relaunch Wild Hearts and attempt to access the content again. 

    Please let me know in this thread if you run into this issue after those steps.

So am I the only that notices the issue? 

The add on is is server base since we don't have to download it.   The error code 4 is a problem of the game talking to the EA servers when connecting.   That is why at the title screen we can't go online to play

Once we are in the game we can connect with other hunter using the little portal things cause we are online..   But when we get the error code 4 the game can't connect to the servers where the add-ons are held causing the issue.

EA on you end you need to fix this.   This has nothing to do with our connection, the Xbox connection, or anything on the user end. 

The issue is mainly that we do not pyshically download the addon like every other game for the most part.  Till the game talked with EA and shows that we have it then we will have access.   So either change the way DLC work which I cam imagine would be a fracking nightmare or check how the game authenticates with your servers to pull the data that a users account has access to his. 

But thats just what I'm thinkgink and how I would approach this.  ( Been an IT engineer for over 30 years )

Also Excellent game.  Big MH fan here and love an Alt in the formula

@da1ken I already mentioned all of this, but you fail to mention it could be on the back-end for Microsoft and EA. Unless you work there and know the exact details on how the DLC authenticates for a user account on Microsoft's side and EA's side, this is not just on EA. Further evidence from users who can access DLC on alt accounts they have their Xbox set as the primary account for, but not on the account they actually purchased the content for suggest it's on the back-end for Microsoft imo

    Same issue on Xbox series X…error code 4 while trying to claim add-on content, even uninstalled and reinstalled it but still nothing

        Did you play the trial version?

        Yees

        Did you play a trial on a different client/platform, than the one you purchased on?

        No

        Are you on the account that purchases it or one game sharing?

        Account purchased

        Did you get the standard edition, then upgrade later( did you play trial, then get the deluxe edition)?

        No, bought deluxe edition before trying the trial.
