Split Fiction flickering on PC
Platform: PC
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super
Driver Version: 551.61
Monitor: 244 Hz
When playing Split Fiction on PC, characters and interactable objects flicker or shimmer. Static world geometry does not flicker.
The flicker is visually distracting and on top of that it causes problems when interacting with objects on some levels. E.g. the monkey keeps automatically dropping from the ceiling - this happens only on ceilings that move when the monkey grabs them (see attached video).
I didn't notice a problem with overheating or cpu/gpu running at 100%.
- Installed a clean NVIDIA driver (551.61) and reset all driver settings to default.
- Set up a dedicated NVIDIA profile for the game with:
- Max FPS capped at 60
- Vertical Sync ON
- Low Latency Mode OFF
- Power Management = Maximum Performance
- Threaded Optimization = ON
- Disabled in-game options where available (motion blur, film grain, FXAA/TAA, interaction outlines) — most options are locked or not exposed.
- Configured the game to run in full-screen mode.
- Turn every in-game setting to the lowest/off setting.
- Ensured Exclusive Fullscreen mode and high-performance GPU assignment in Windows graphics settings.
