Can I play an EA game on Game Pass while I own it on steam?

Hey I uninstalled the game from steam but I am still not able to install the game from Xbox Game Pass.

I click install for PvZ GW2:Deluxe edition in the Xbox App on PC it prompts me with the install option but after clicking install it still doesnt install.

In the EA app under the game it it still mentioned "Deluxe edition Accessed through steam"

lmao its like these guys aren't even reading the post huh? The issue is you own it through steam, if you try and download it through Xbox Game Pass it then says that the game is run through Steam. It doesn't matter if you spam the download button or anything or even if you want to make a pathway for it. It ignores it and it doesn't matter if you uninstalled it through steam or not. Im having the same issue and I'm not understanding what these guys don't get when as you explained IT DOESNT WORK. Then you got the second guy responding almost copy and paste of what the first guy said lol smh... The only thing i can think of that may work is unlinking your steam from your EA account in hopes that it no longer register itself with the account that you own it on. I haven't tried it because you can only link your account to something once every six months. The fact that there is a limit on this and no fixes really does suck so i relate ESPECALLY since these guys were ZERO help. If you want to give my suggestion a go and let me know how it turns out that would be cool. I wish you the best, I'm assuming you want to do it through Game Pass over where you already own it to be able to play with friends that don't own it. I'm not sure why this is made as difficult as it is or why these guys almost intentionally didn't read what you wrote...
