The resolution to this issue was to refund the pre-order. Kinda ridiculous but at least I can play the game now.

4 years agoIn that case it could have been that the payment did not go through and that the order showed processing on your order history in your EA account settings @BeQuis.

My payment went through, as seen in my bank account. It is not players causing this problem, its the game, and launcher app combining with some overriding parameter that makes the trial the only way into the game, even when you own the literal thing. I wouldn't have used the trial as I owned the game, yet it somehow used my trial up and then permanently kicked me from the edition that I bought
