I'm having a similar issue.
I can't connect my Xbox Game Pass to EA, I did all the things, followed all the prompts, and just get a "Something went wrong" response in EA Play. So effectively, I can't access a single EA title with GamePass and it seems EA has no idea how to help and just respond with the same message in the forums.
Hey all, our live support team would be better placed to assist with these issues, we simply cannot offer help for any account-related issues on AHQ.

@EA_Darko We've been in contact with live support, but they can't fix the issue. It's an issue with the EA system that doesn't register the Xbox account correctly, hence making EA titles worthless on Xbox game pass for a ton of users on PC.
I personally wish one could opt out and avoid EA's platform to play games, but this is unavoidable. I'll probably wait and see if Microsoft and the Xbox team do the right thing and either fix the bridge or just host the games on their own platform.

Hey @SimonSeterbo what did our live support team advise?
I'm not aware of any known issues relating to connection Xbox and EA accounts and just tested now and was able to link without any issue.
Darko- 4 years ago@EA_Darko I've had help on two occasions. Both times it seemed like they weren't able to solve or figure out the root cause. It seemed like the Xbox account I'm currently using didn't exist, even when I was currently using it and on the same email, I use for EA (and everything else, I only have one).
The strange part where I'll give some ground is that when the live support said they sent me an email to reset my password, I never received any email. But when I do it myself manually and click on "reset password" the email arrives immediately.
So I feel a bit lost here, and appear to not have access to any EA titles through the game pass as things currently stand. And from what I gathered, this has occurred with several users.
