Re: [PC] EA app Doesn't Recognize I Have Game Pass Linked

  • ANSWER:
  • have the EA app closed before doing.
  • navigate to the xbox app
  • go to settings (click your name top left corner)
  • select "extensions"
  • disable the extension for the EA App
  • find the game you want to download on the xbox app, youll notice that the install selection has now gone away and been replaced by an option asking you to "enable extension"
  • go ahead and enable it
  • it should then launch the EA app automatically
  • upon seeing the app open, it should now allow you to select an SSD/HDD to install your game to!

Hopefully this helps. wish EA and XBOX didnt make us jump through hoops to make this work.

@Ew_Damon We appreciate you listing these out for everyone. Will pass it along and see if it helps others out as well!

Cheers!

  • I am still having trouble upon reading this. I did the steps however continue to get an error message like the one below. I feel like I have tried everything including disabling and closing the app then opening and enabling again.

@tash_monkeyttv I can see that your account is linked with Xbox correctly and I can see the sub. That I believe is more of a network issue. Maybe not your network but the EA app is having some issues at the moment that may be affecting your connection.

I did find a few links in the meantime that have quite a few steps if you would like to check them out!

    Link 1

    Link 2

    Link 3

    Microsoft Steps

In the mean time, I'm checking with the team to see if one is affecting the other!

I am having a similar issue. I have tried everything mentioned and still my PC game pass will not let me download EA play games on the EA app.

I saw a game I wanted to play as soon as I saw it was on EA I knew I was gonna have to go on a rabbit hole journey to be able to get the game to download to play.

same issue here, and I've done everything EA Play app 'allows' me to do, even trying to uninstall the application....but i can't, even on safe mode.
It has to be the worst game manager app I've come along.
Origin was a nightmare and this one is no different...
