Confused a little

Hi,
i’m in the play test and I’m a little confused.  Is the idea that this replaces games modes like clubs and ultimate team or would this along side those games modes?
I feel like this is just going to be a lot of walking around and not much playing actual football. I get that a lot of people will be into this kinda of thing. But it’s not really my kind of thing.
currently just walking around and standing still with not many people lining up for any of the game modes (the test has only just begun, so I assume that’s why). Maybe I’ll come back to it at the weekend and see if there is more people around.
