@P4st3l1akDon’t think he pushed Nico out tbh. Lewis wants to win more than he wants to be challenged. He wants to be pushed so long as he’s the winner.
To not just single out Hamilton, but isn't that true of all top elite drivers and sports people? They're all self obsessed and narcissistic, it's the only way to reach the top level and be the best. I've been listening to a BBC podcast on the 2007 F1 season and the Spygate incident . Apparently Alonso didn't like the challenge from the second driver and near enough blackmailed the team. They're all as bad as each other, they all want to win without really truly being pushed to the edge.
On a similar note, I actually see Rosberg as the epotime of that. Instead of doing the champion thing and defending your title in the following year, he quit. Didn't even bother to finish his contract or even move to another team, he just quit citing that he achieved everything that he wanted to do. I really wonder if he couldn't handle another challenge, not just from Hamilton but other drivers too, but if he had won the championship a few years earlier would he have quit citing the same reasons?
