Early in your career. Especially driving for a lower ranked team the Ai will be easier on their tyres. They are just smoother than us. But also Ai teams that have done a soft/medium strategy probably have a tyre wear upgrade. That you haven’t. Also more weight reduction and downforce upgrades. These we all help reduce tyre wear. I have upgraded 3 off the 5 tyre wear upgrades and do a soft/medium strategy for most 50% races
