AI Difficulty on PS5 F1 23 can not be changed

Hi, you are probably on "Basic", click the 'triangle' button on your controller, that will allow you to switch to "Standard" (and one more click to "Expert"), the two mode where you can change AI difficulty.

Yeah that was the issue. Didn’t think that would revert my difficulty every time but hey, sorted now.

I have same problem, I can change to standard or expert but does not give me the option to change difficulty.
