AI Drivers not pitting in races

Summarize your bug In 2-player COOP Career, we've had 2 out of the last 3 races now where at least 9-10 AI drivers get disqualified for not pitting during the race. After the 2nd race, they pit on the final lap but still ended up getting disqualified for not changing the tyre compound (Ex, soft to soft). This is on 35% race distance. This happened in Great Britain and the Netherlands race.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure if it's track-specific, but start a 2-player coop career and go through the season and see whether you get nearly half the field DSQ after not pitting at 35% race distance.
What happens when the bug occurs? While in a 35% race distance, on 2-player coop career mode, we'll be in a race and we'll make our first pit stops. Once we come back out on track and proceed towards the end of the race, we'll notice that some to most of the AI have yet to pit. On the final lap, some AI may pit and some will not - receiving a DSQ for the race for not pitting. Those AI that do pit, some will correctly go onto a different compound and others will not - also receiving a DSQ from the race for failure to use appropriate compounds as directed by the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations for 2 different compound uses in a race.
What do you expect to see? I expect the AI to pit, for a different compound then what they started on and have a different race strategy that allows them to finish a race properly. In both races, I was ahead of my coop teammate by quite a few positions. However, due to this bug, he finished P2 behind me while I won both races and therefore I felt he now got an unfair advantage (or lucky dependent how you look at it 😉
