Allow player to place their own brake markers on track

My suggestion is to add an option to place our own braking point on tracks. For example like a red line. It would be a nice option for us that don't want to use racing line. Also by letting the players place them themselves is advantageous because sometimes the racing line has inaccurate braking points depending on car setup. I have to play on low graphics and my boomer brain can't see the already placed meter boards or other visual cues for braking points

  • @5eff977e9bf2860fYou what that’s a really good idea. I used to do a lot off track days back in the day and track Marshall’s put cones out at braking, turning points and apex. Was always a conservative braking point for safety: I’ve seen some racing games place the same markers But never seen it where you could adjust the brake point to best help individual player.

I’d also like to see a marker on apex. As anyone learning tracks or unfamiliar with what the apex is. It would help more than just blindly following the race line.

With your idea of placing an adjustable brake marker. Think have an adjustable apex marker. So depending on driving style you could set it for a early, standard and late apex

    Awesome idea👍

@EA_Groguet  Boss would be a awesome addition imo

  • @5eff977e9bf2860f Or atleast even an option to just have the braking points on the racing line, most people don't actually need the dynamic factor of it, just the braking point would be a great option

@RaceStragedy Most dedicated players will find a spot. Be it a certain kerb or post etc. But in general they are either pros or sweats. I just use the 50 100 150 boards, Top speed i brake in between 100 150. 5-7 gear just past 100 and anything slower around the 50. Mostly I rely on muscle memory but occasionally it forgets:

Also the boards are not ideal as a lot of them are hard to see or on other side off the track to the racing line.

Personally I’ve posted more than a few times in the past, That the game should have proper tutorials and decent assists that actually help teach new players how to drive and race F1 cars:

But instead it’s the typical lazy ABS, Traction control and racing line. Plus a few vague tutorials.
