Summarize your bug When automatic gearing is enabled the game changes gear to early which causes the car to completely bog down. However holding the gear up button will lower the gear back down to the previous gear and allow you to build up the RPM to a more suitable amount. It gears around 7000-8000 rpm and the rpm light bar is not lit up at all. It's almost like the gearing when behind the safety car. This big effects all game modes but was tested in time trial

Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Change the settings so gearing is automatic and then go into any game mode and you will experience the bug
What happens when the bug occurs? The car will not accelerate quickly as the gears are changing quicker than required. Car will be in 8th gear by 140MPH
What do you expect to see? The gears changing at a higher speed/rpm
Very strange issue. This big only appeared after the 1.12 update and has made playing with auto gearing impossible without lowering the difficulty immeasurably. I know not everyone uses the auto gearing but I've always struggled with manual so this does upset me that I can't play the game properly.
So I've actually managed to resolve the issue. It was being caused by the creation of a brand new controller set-up. When I switched back to the default controller set-up the issue was resolved.
