Brake bias resets to 50% in Time trial mode

Product: F1 23
Platform:PlayStation 5
Please specify your platform model. Sony PlayStation 5
Summarize your bug Brake bias resets to 50% in time trial mode on std setups, when shifting to a new track using option session menu
What is your 16 digit Report Code?
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? cox
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? start time trial, select a track, run a session, return to garage, options menu change track, use the default setup, go to track and check brake bias
What happens when the bug occurs? brake bias is set at 50% regardless of what is set in the setups
What do you expect to see? brake bias as specified in the setup

I will test again. The difference for me was that I did not enter the tuning details for the setup (select and customize) - just looked at what was checked in the setups and went to track

UPDATE: tried every little thing I thought I might have done and can’t replicate it - tracks w no time set (first 4 after the last reset), starting in F2 etc. Was persisting in that session yesterday but couldn’t replicate it today. Not that it would likely get fixed this season anyway…

Still stops uploading faster times though but that’s been a bug for ages in the comms

I will update TT times. Question - are you using external storage for the saves or game?

It’s currently on the M2 SSD storage add-on chip in the PS5, not an external usb drive. I’ll move it to the console’s dedicated storage and see if there’s any difference

UPDATE: I can replicate this, as it happened in a session today and I caught the step needed, hopefully.

You will need Brake Balance up/down assigned to buttons to see this.

Pick a car, track, and go into the info screen. Pick a setup from the standards, take the default or even pick one from the results list.

—— DO NOT LOOK at it to see the BB setting —— If you view the setting first, it will be set correctly on track

Go to track and again DO NOT look by engaging MFD - if you engage the MFD first it will be set correctly

Use the Brake balance up - 1 click - (down likely does it as well but I didn’t specificly test this time) and Brake balance will be set to 50%

std setups use 63% on most of them so I usually start by automatically dialing down when I get on track if I use them as I prefer a lower value

With a custom setup, just go back to the menu and reload it to see what the value was - some people do use 50 or 51%

May be limited to the first setup picked in a track session or may be repeatable during a session - don’t recall my results for that

BTW TT was worse today - first lap recorded but subsequent ones ignored, and rival even disappeared completely on one session
