Bring Back Cutscenes, Interviews & Driver/Team Hospitality Areas
I feel areas in which future F1 games could improve on is actually bringing back aspects from previous iterations, like specific cutscenes, interviews and hospitality areas.
I quite liked having the cutscenes before practice and qualifying with David Croft and Anthony Davison telling us what the track and weather conditions were like and driver/team championship talk, as it created a sense of realism. I also feel that bringing back the celebrations the driver has with their mechanics when they clinch Pole Position, would also help get closer to the real F1 coverage.
I would also like to see more interviews with different pundits already signed to the EA F1 roster, for press conferences after a Top 3 Qualy/Race finish, beginning of weekend and pre/post-race. To give this a real purpose, this could be a way of establishing rivals, moving teams, affecting team morale and driver personality, as well as appear in a News/Inbox Feed like in EA FC.
Lastly, I absolutely loved the different Hospitality Areas which featured in F1 2016-2018 games, as you got to feel really intimate as well as apart of the paddock and 'F1 family'. For example you got to see; you talking to your agent and engineers, team principals talking to drivers and pundits, teams working on data and cars, as well as overlooking the Monaco harbour, the Silverstone 'Silver Wing' and other iconic F1 scenery. If they were to be brought back, as well as include a Driver Room like the one that features in the Braking Point Story, and a Team Factory room for between races, then this would just elevate the game's overall presentation.
This may seem like a wish-list, but I honestly believe that if EA bring back these aspects, and include some new ones, then future F1 games would cement themselves as the best immersive racing game.
