Colour converter

I have OCD and have found it so difficult matching cars or helmets to match the f1 cars ie. McLaren or Williams.

I have tried Googling it to which I have not found a solution. I tried 1 idea which was involving some mathematical work but still didn’t work.

I just want to convert the teams colour HEX colour or HSL and convert is to the F1 23 games HSL colouring system

please help

many thanks

    @Kerrinator_xggPaint. Microsoft paint.

    Just select the color using the hex code you've already got. The HSL values displayed in the color tool still be on the same scale that the game uses.

    I used to have a post about it on the original forums, but those are gone now.

    @Kerrinator_xgg No idea. That HSL format Codemasters use draws from the same scale that Microsoft had implemented in their old or legacy apps, it's a bit of code dating back to the 80s

    I still believe you should find a converter online. And back when I really cared about it, I had a formula to convert them by hand that used to work well for my needs.

    If find yourself with the regular 0-360/0-100/0-100 HSL scale and wants to recreate it in the game with its 0-239/0-240/0-240 HSL one, just multiply the values by:
    - Hue: 0.67
    - Saturation: 2.4
    - Luminance: 2.4
