AIUI the Crossplay team for EA are Ukrainian. The Crossplay function is built on PlayFab which is a Microsoft Azure service. There may be factors beyond EA's control, but acknowledgement goes a long way.

The last patches to deal with matchmaking issues were 1.05 and 1.08, so it has been looked at previously.

@CM_TGK @EA_Groguet maybe this could be added to Community Raised Issues?

So I tried a Crossplay lobby on Ranked Multiplayer with Crossplay enabled.

Poor connections to the lobby evident but PC/EA/PS/XB players there (9 including me). This is what happened.

Fanatec CSL hard locked against stops, had to power down, can't find any crashdump at all.

Tried again, crashed out at the end of the China race.

I did get the session code.PXSM-PGXT-BCEC-GRVE

Incredibly frustrating!

I might just edit the end of the video showing the CTD (gives me an excuse to look at Clipchamp), but it's lunchtime....

Took a little longer this time but CTD again 3/3 with Crossplay enabled.

Comments regarding Ranked Multiplayer;

Poor visual quality of MP lobby - is this based on a lower graphical demand for console? I still run HIGH preset with RT OFF @1440P. It loos awful, no shadows and poor detail level. Graphical glitches apparent in other modes (Player name tag showing through solid objects, not just cars, most evident from Mirabeau through Portier at Monaco)

'Driving on ice' feel.

Preset and Custom setups can't be modified (at least as not as far as I can see) and the setups are horrible with zero front grip, then oversteer too.

Disconnections. 

Now trying Crossplay OFF.

Edit: maybe later, no players, probably why Crossplay is important.

So I've returned to Ranked MP post patch 1.12. Had to re-enable Crossplay to find players.

I had 1 game of ranked MP at Japan without issue.

2nd attempt at Azerbaijan, another hard lockup of the Fanatec and a (Edit) BSOD that ended with a reboot. No session code, recording lost.

Seems a high incidence of CTD/reboot with Crossplay enabled.
