Honestly, what are you hoping for? That EA/Codemasters will restore the settings? They will sit out the problem, at most apologize that this problem has occurred and ask us to readjust the settings.

Codemasters/EA should have communicated beforehand that the patch might reset the settings. Assuming EA/Codemasters has tested the patch beforehand.

To everyone who reads this and hat not yet updated to 1.12:

I saved my settings like this:

  • shutdown my network
  • started F1 23
  • ignored the warnings at startup
  • made screenshots of everything
  • closed F1 23
  • enabled my network
  • started F1 23 and let it update
  • created new controller and dialed in all values from the screenshots

That's on PC of course, not sure how to do that on the consoles ....
