Damage model

In previous F1 games sometimes the slightest touch would cause a damaged wing or worse.

In F1 2023 in noticed that the damage model isn't as finicky.  I have had contact with other cars, but no damage ot either (not a bad thing)  But I was wondering if the damage model can be adjusted.

I am playing in Expert mode but don't see a setting.  Is this a hiddend feature in the game that comes with the mode level you choose? or is there a setting somewhere.

The adjustable damage parameters we get – car damage and damage rate – are as usual on the Simulation Settings tab.

Even if you set them to simulation the cars are extremely strong compared to previous years.. Which I personally hate.

It's b.c. the damage model is bugged.  Codies know this, but b.c. THEY can't replicate it they don't give a damn.
