Product: F1 23
Platform:PC
Please specify your platform model. PC
Summarize your bug Players disconnected from cross platform session results in points penalty. This is something beyond the players control. No points should be deducted in such a situation. This type of defect will cause players like me to lose interest in multiplayer sessions.
What is your 16 digit Report Code? CPXM-VGRR-EAKJ-GSDE
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? PLDT Home Fiber
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Multiplayer
Did you have cross-play enabled? Yes
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play multiplayer session, force disconnection from session server and restore connection. User will be notified disqualification and have points deducted. Points should not be deducted from user for loss of connection from session server. My system did not lose internet connection. It occurred somewhere between EA and session host server.
What happens when the bug occurs? Player is disqualified and penalized points (8 points in my case) for temporary loss of connectivity to session host.
What do you expect to see? Players should not be penalized and have points deducted from session for not fault of their own.
I was in the middle of cross platform race when connection was lost to session server. Why was 8 points deducted from my standings through no fault of my own. No one should be penalized (deducted points) for something no fault of their own. If disconnection occurs in middle of multiplayer cross platform race, no points should be deducted. This type of issue needs to be resolved or it will stop players from using multiplayer mode. It is my hope you will restore my 8 points that was deducted for no fault of my own.
