So let's say we get the game and 2 days later Piastri and Hamilton quit. So we're stuck the whole year with outdated names?

@AnthonyLee59No because that would mean they are quitting during the 2023 season. So therefore whoever came in to replace them would also replace them in F1 23. As it covers the 2023 season

Not so fast. We have had frozen rosters before. In season replacements have not been reflected IIRC.
Did we have a later switch than Gasly / Kyvat? (2016)
Think they might have been switched before the game was released.
Vandoorne stood in for Alonso, Haryanto replaced by Ocon. Pretty sure they weren’t added.
- @SteveJackson I can’t remember that far back…. I’d like to think codemasters are a lot more nimble these days. 😂 Giving we get constant driver stat updates across the season.

Last mid game cycle driver change was Albon/Gasly at Red Bull 2019 iirc really with Gasly first and then in a later update Albon to RB
