Edited On Screen Display Layout Does Not Save

Product: F1 23
Platform:Steam-PC
Please specify your platform model. PC
Summarize your bug Editing On Screen Display Layout does not save. Returning to gameplay after changing and saving OSD layout, it will simply revert to default
What is your 16 digit Report Code? RKPC-TJMM-SRHT-GRSE
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider?
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Open up any gamemode (I used time Trial). Then open the pause menu > Settings > On Screen Display > Customise OSD. Edit any element for the relevant gamemode (I changed the main bar at the bottom), save changes and then unpause. The changes you made will not be present. When going back to redo the changes, the affected elements will warp back to where you moved them to the instant you try and change them again.
What happens when the bug occurs? The changes you have made to the OSD will not be present in gameplay.
What do you expect to see? I expect the changes I have made to actually save!

Not only do you have to edit the On Screen Display to your preferences FIVE times (one for each different session, 2021 and 22 only needed you to change it once for everything), your changes don't even work when you save them. The OSD just defaults back to the original layout.
Then when you go back to re-edit the layout, the moment you touch the affected elements, they warp back to the positions you changed them to in the first place!

It's not game breaking, but it is annoying. After having to make the same changes FIVE times, it is incredibly irritating to see them not actually being put into place.

  • I am also experiencing this annoying issue. My peripheral vision can't see the GEAR & REV meter (placed so low on the screen) unless I move the "F1 Dial" GUI for the gears upward to the Halo barrier. The Time Trial OSD customization feature just will NOT save my personal mappings; nor is there a Filter for Time Trials in the OSD customzation area. I only see Filters for: Normal, Pit and Supercars.

Lastly, why are the OSD Customization & Map Rotation sections disabled within the OPTIONS|Settings area from the main menu before going to F1 World? I mean every other setting can be tweaked but OSD & Map Rotation? Come on now! And why force drivers to go deep into the new F1 23 game menus, scrolling through a ton of areas before we can finally customize OSD features? We're forced to go into a GP Session, or a TT Session first, select a car, then pick a track, then wait for the game to upload the session, then click, click and more scrolling and clicks. SMH. Simply put, just way too many layers to get to a base-level OSD Customization before hitting a track.

NB: The first update for F1 23 (v1.6.1006145 June) has removed OSD Customization from the Time Trial|Settings main menu. Now, it can only be accessed via the PAUSE MENU|Settings|OSD-Customization menu while on track in a Time Trial session...and it still won't save. SMH.

Simplifying, how we access OSD across ALL menus would be helpful and having PERMANENT access to OSD-Customization no matter where you are in the game. Why hide ANY game setting?
