The menu does let you select equal but if you look at the menu again after applying the setting and the session reloading then you sill see that the realistic setting is reapplied.
I agree. I tried and replicated same track (video), tried a random car and track and different track and it's still bugged. Irrespective of what you set on the master screen (car and track select).
@EA_Groguet whilst we are changing these bucket settings, time setting ought to be Realistic as well, it picks Midday (evident on night tracks, it's day by default, suggested this before CM forums repeatedly).

That thread is very clear:
This is not an exhaustive list of everything the development team are working on. Just because an issue is not listed above does not necessarily mean it's been ignored.
