Since Patch 1.06, I cannot get any input playing in VR, neither keyboard nor G29 with the Pico4 and Virtual Desktop. I can play F1 22 in VR so it is not my end, everything was fine until patch 1.06. and it is still broken 6 weeks later in patch 1.09.
It's been almost two full months since release that a large percentage of your customers can't use FFB on their products.
It's been two years since VR was 'implemented' in such a way as to be nearly unusable.
Volumetric fog continues to make night races unplayable (fun fact, Bahrain at night was literally the FIRST RACE of F1 23, immediately showing this problem, and you people released the game anyway?). I'll say it again for those who need to hear it a second time: THE FIRST RACING EXPERIENCE OF THE GAME SHOWCASES THIS BUG.
Red flags are still broken.
Safety cars are still broken.
You want to know why your sales are down year after year? It's because you're incompetent. You advertise new features that don't even work, and clearly don't do any testing of your own product before releasing it.
Not once has anyone from EA apologized for the state of the game. People who value integrity would've delayed the game in the first place. People who simply have integrity would've at least apologized.
You did neither.
I look forward to watching your sales numbers plummet until the series has to be canceled and the license goes to someone who actually cares about F1, and their customers.
Edit: One more thing - you took two weeks to fix the cockpit camera bug that YOU CAUSED. Other gaming companies would have shown respect to their customers by immediately implementing a hotfix patch to fix their own screwup, but not our good ol' EA buddies! Nothing lights a fire under your backsides. Not broken FFB, not bugs your own incompetence caused, not major "new" features that don't work.
The only timeline you pay any attention to is your own convenience. To hell with those fools who actually pay your salary, eh! Those pesky customers should be grateful they get anything at all, am I right?!
The new Tech Level modifier does not work as it should when you have reached a 1000 Tech level.
At 1000 Tech Level the events are at 950 Tech level, however, with the +150 Tech level modifier the AI cars somehow only have 1050 Tech level instead of 1100.
At this point I can only assume career mode balance is just meant to be appalling by design then?
Quick to rebalance a brand new mode that less people are interested in but refuse to listen to a large number of players calling for some proper balancing in career in regards to R&D accumulation, driver bonus stats and facilities. It's been bad for four games and we've been saying about it ever since the first month of F1 2020. How is it not even being acknowledged or looked into changing??
Honestly done with the series at this point.
The F1 World tech changes has improved nothing. Granted, I'm now 4 seconds a lap faster than the AI instead of 6, but that's it. Shove the tech modifier up and you end up with noobs in rocket ships. Fast in straight lines but can't handle a fight. Only played it for 5 minutes and the problems were instantly visible, how the testers didn't notices this beggars belief. New year, same old story.
Leaving the AI difficulty locked at 35% is what's holding the whole feature back. I can't believe it's just being left that way.
Edit: It just feels like, for the past few years, when there's a fix needed, the minimum amount of effort possible is put into it, corners are cut, compromises are made, and it becomes just surface-level, papering over the cracks.
"But for this to work properly, you need to fix this aswell"
"Nah, just do this and leave it. It'll take too much time and effort, need to work on the eSports model anyway. Besides, this game is only for casuals now, they won't notice."
That's how it feels.
well i played more than 30 races so far (always in 50 and 100%) and only see 1 red flag and rarely safety car, but no problems so far with both
I can only hope that the fact the haven’t lied in this patch about force feedback being fixed on Logitech G923s and other wheels on PS5 might be a step in the right direction?
This game will continue to die as EA squeeze every last penny every year to produce an unfinished and gutless game.
Maybe it’s time to look at the numbers and realise that this game really isn’t as big as you thought it was. The hype was for 21, bunch of people purchased 22, then realised it’s the same thing as last year just broken and not playable until months after release. Now you are left with an even worse game that’s ‘new features’ are still broken after 2 months of release.
When the time comes for F124 to drop people will laugh when they see these new features you plan to add because everyone will know that they won’t work until 6 months after the release. Your sales will further decline and I can only hope for what comes next.
I haven’t been able to play more than 1 race in 2 months with force feedback. No communication, no apologise, no compensation, no improvements from previous years.
The game is already discounted at all my local stores because they can’t get it off the shelves. Not even dying titles like Call of Duty discount games this quickly after release.
I have never ever been a person to express my disappointment in such a manner but quite frankly I am fed up. This isn’t targeted at those monitoring the threads and the EA reps. These are much higher issues that I hope are currently being communicated and highlighted as serious threats to the company.
I will say it once more, releasing a game that has issues and bugs isn’t a problem. Neglecting the issues, masking them with lies, gaslighting players and providing no valid communication simply is unacceptable and although you may feel invincible, down the line these actions will hold irreversible consequences.
I started a new career mode save after downloading the patch last night and had a weird issue. Have formation lap, safety car and red flags turned on. Had a red flag in first race and worked fine and no bugs. Next race I noticed there wasn’t a formation lap. Checked the settings and noticed formation lap, safety car and red flags were all turned off. I didn’t change it myself. Finished the race and checked the settings after from the team headquarters laptop and all those settings were locked and I couldn’t change them. I’m doing 35% races and changed this to see if it made a difference. For any race length other than 100%, the settings were locked. I changed to 100%, turned them all on, then went back to 35% and the settings saved. Haven’t done the next race yet so not sure if it will work or if the same thing will happen again after the race.
just wondering if anyone has had this before? I never had it with my original my team save that I played 2 seasons.
cheers
I did a race now in canada f1 world in sunny weather we were all on blue wet tires and you couldn't change them of course.... worse and worse!
This sums it up

This sums it up very well.
It's awful. Not once was there an apology to the huge playerbase not being able to play for 2 months. They just don't care. They got the money and that's all they want anyway.
I sincerely hope the sales continue to plummet and they get what they deserve.
For the fact this is a racing game, it's incredible that all these FFB issues are still around and simply won't be patched.
At least have the decency to offer refunds to those who are screwed by all these issues or offer an apology.
We know that EA has never cared about their customers. F1 is a new low tho. [Edited]
