F1 23 crashes on PC

Hi expert,
When I start F1 23 and race, the game crashes. Sometime the game crashed on the menu screen when not racing.
I made the following divisions.
- I'm using CSLDD, and the same thing happens even when I press F1 23 on the keyboard.
- Fanatec driver update and downgrade.
- Check for the latest version of Nvidia drivers and older versions.
- "Verify the integrity of game files" on Steam.
- Reinstall the game fron Steam.
- Memtest 86.
- Windows updates

BUILD:
Running the Game on Steam
CPU  i7-11700F
Memory 32GB
GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti / 8GB
Mother board B560
Do you have any good ideas?

I have attached dxdiag file.

Any idea where to even start troubleshooting here?

    Hi Steve,

    thank you for your reply.

I have reoccur when start f1 23 after Razer headset install.(disabled windows default audio(realtek audio))

I am using Razer Kraken v3 hypersense.

I have attached dxdiag after install Razer headset driver.

    Regards,

Well, now you know it is the USB audio / drivers for the Razer Kraken. I didn't ask to disable the Realtek audio and driver, actually.

Have you installed the Razer Synapse software? Reason I ask is USBAUDIO.SYS is an inbox driver (22621.3958 2024-05 date stamp 2024-07)

I would suggest reaching out to Razer support and tell them of the issue going forward if when re-enabling the Realtek there is no change.

Sadly, as a player of this franchise since F1 2015 and earlier, the USB and Bluetooth audio drivers can cause issues with the game; updating device firmware and latest manufacturer drivers are recommended. No fixes will be forthcoming for F1 23 as the patch cycle is ended.

The Razer Synapse RGB software may also be an issue if enabled as again, historically RGB software can cause system instability in a number of games, due mainly to crude techniques in programming and timing / interrupts. Again, raising with Razer support is recommended. Check the F1 24 forums to see if users have similar issues with your hardware and software combo.

Wider picture, due to the UEFI BIOS, the mainboard may lack updates for CPU and memory that may break the Razer software or your game when using it. Contact your PC OEM for more information.

    Good luck!

    @SteveJackson Hi Steve,
    Thank you for your support.

At first, I installed latest driver for Razer Synapse software(22621.3958 2024-05 date stamp 2024-07).

I uninstalled the headset removed hardware_settings_config again, then tried using realtek audio, and the problem reoccurred again....
I also removed the Fanatec CSL DD and tried using the keyboard, and the problem still occurred.

    Regards,

No problem. I think there is a misunderstanding.

The Razer Synapse software *should* install a better driver than the inbox driver mentioned.

    If it does not….

It’s clear so far that the Realtek Audio driver is fine. The Razer Synapse software *may* contain a firmware update for the headphones. It may not….

Contact Razer support if there are still issues.

The F1 23 game will not be updated. Therefore the only fix will be from Razer or the headphones aren’t compatible.

Looking in the F1 24 forums for a similar report would allow CM/EA to perhaps work with Razer to iron out any issues. But it won’t be fixed in F1 23 unless it is a Razer issue.

First port of call Razer support. I don’t have the hardware. I use a wired Kingston HyperX headset with the Realtek Audio. It doesn’t crash.

It’s likely the dongle or headset.

    @SteveJackson Hi Steve,
    Thank you for quick reply.

The same problem reoccurred with Realtek Audio driver.
Therefore, I think there is no problem with the audio.
    What do you think?

    Regards,

I still think it’s the USB audio for the headset.

I also still think the lack of a UEFI update may be contributory.

Realtek audio is fine. We would have heard many complaints if it was broken.

However, if you are determined not to follow the most likely path, then I have already told you what I think.

Less likely, run Afterburner and see what FPS and temps you get on CPU and GPU.

Try changing AA settings on GPU. Don’t simply lower the ingame settings. Try not to use GeForce optimisations….I use AMD. Because.

This ^^ did not fix your games.

    1. Tried at post #3

    2. VC runtimes are installed via Steam Common Redistributables (VC Runtimes 2012, 2019, 2022)

    3. Clearing the Origin cache did not fix your Steam installation (you asserted Steam version post #1)

    regards,

Power management settings do not require any adjustment.

I still think it is likely instability. UEFI/ME, RAM timings, maybe PSU related. Audio driver / hardware likely to be finicky / picky and GPU setting could also be wrong.

Very hard to diagnose properly without hands on.
Can only advise most likely. But can confirm what it’s not.
