Summarize your bug Game crashes to desktop without a trace after random different amounts of time while racing. Sometimes, I can be racing without interruption for an hour and a half, sometimes it's under 5 minutes. Currently harming any chances of getting higher than Rank B license on singleplayer "Series" races, as it penalises you heavily for quitting early due to the crash to desktop.
What is your 16 digit Report Code? GMSB-SEEH-DHGJ-ABXE
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider?
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Unknown way to replicate, it just randomly closes while racing after an indeterminate time
What happens when the bug occurs? Game freezes, current sound get stuck (most of the time, just engine), FFB effects just slowly continue in the direction they were already going, then I end up looking at Steam/Desktop, without any notification of a crash log (also cannot find any crash logs in any game files).
What do you expect to see? To be able to play the game without it randomly crashing to desktop
Managed to write down what the session report code was before continuing to drive.
Have attached a DxDiag that I saved after the crash to desktop.
This is a driver issue.
Uninstall any AMD Chipset Driver from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Reboot.
Install AMD v5 Chipset Driver. Reboot.
AMD F1 0-day Driver or 23.7.1 Reboot.
Verify Steam files and delete hardware_settings_config.xml before launching.
Second stage
I don't see the Thrustmaster driver installed properly. Update the firmware to v10. (T-GT - on PC, the USB sliding switch on the T-GT racing wheel base must always be set to the OTHER position!)
Repeat verify Steam files and delete hardware_settings_config.xml before launching.
Audio may be the final issue.
Download iCue v5.3 update everything.
