@ivun3 But its not bugged?
Yeah not really bugged. Just the default sprint strategy are faulty.
Manually setting sprint race to 0 stop mediums or hards fixes both ai and player, sprint and feature race. All fixed.
So I guess they just have to fix default sprint strategies to 0 stop and its all fixed. And you can do it manually, by for example edditting the strategy with the hard or medium in it and delete the soft or supersoft and ur left with 0 stop hard/medium.
So if you do this in the sprint race, before the start, editting strategy as mentioned, then all is fixed.

Thanks.
It's good that this also fixes the A.I. and their strategy. We can finally race fairly. Thank you so much!
I never even thought of edditing sprint strategy.

No Problem. You're most welcome! 🥳
Remember guys, fix is edit sprint strategy to 0 stop medium/hard. Then its fixed. Fair race.
- IAGOBERNARDES112 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@ivun3 so in short, in long and complete races the bug occurs because we cannot put the new medium (or hard) tire in the feature race strategy and we are forced to use the medium (or hard) tire used in the Sprint and make 2 stops. And in average races of 35% we use two softs, one soft tire in the Sprint and the other soft tire used in the full Qualy comes with excessive wear in the feature race.

IN MEDIUM RACES THE BUG OCCURS LIKE THIS IN THE PHOTOS, THE FIRST PHOTO SHOWS ME IN THE BAHREN ENTERING THE PITS IN THE COMPLETE QUALY I DID JUST ONE LAP TO SET THE TIME AND I ENTER, TIRES WERE AT 9% AND THEN I PLAYED THE SPRINT WITH NEW SOFT, AND I WENT TO THE FEATURE RACE, SEEING IN THE SECOND PHOTO THERE THE MAIN STRATEGY OF THE FEATURE RACE, WE STARTED WITH THE SOFT (WHICH IS THE QUALY SOFT) AND THEN WE PUT A NEW HARD, PLUS THE QUALY TIRES THAT WERE TO BE 9% THIS IN 41% WHICH IT WAS TO BE THE WAY I LEFT IT IN THE QUALY

You get 5 tyres each weekend. 3 of the harder and 2 of the softer.
1 hard for practice one soft for quali and you got 2 hard and 1 soft left.
The sprint race is short, so 1 hard 0 stop is standard strategy. But the games default sprint strategy is wrong and that is what is causing all the bugs. Like 3 stop feature race with added tyres that dont even exist.
If you manually edit the sprint strategy to 0 stop 1 set of tyres of the hardest compound, all the a.i. field will use it too and the bug gets fixed. Feature race, you will then have the mandatory sets of 1 softer and 1 harder. Which is enough for the feature race.
Yes the default sprint strategy is bugged. The game suggest you use your soft in sprint which means you have no mandatory soft in feature race anymore. 1 soft is for quali and 1 soft for feature race.
So only 1 hard in sprint. Manually set it to one hard and all bugs are fixed.
I assume its the same for full race or half race. The workaround is to just manually edit the sprint strategy to 0 stop of the hardest compound.
Not only is 0 stop 1 hard standard for sprint race, but its actually also the fastest and best strategy. So the game default strategy for sprint race being all wrong is the only bug and its what is causing the bug of entering feature race with worn tires and all the weird impossible non existing tyres popping up.
If you manually set sprint strategy to 0 stop of the hardest compound, all is fixed. ai. and player. all tyre allocation becomes feasable and its all fair race. This should already be a standard strategy but maybe the developers forgot to set it correctly.
- IAGOBERNARDES112 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@ivun3 Yes, we can change the strategy from the soft tire that we are going to use in the Sprint to the hard tire in medium races, but the AI runs with the soft tire and we use the hard tire in the Sprint. then for the Race feature we use the new soft and the AI uses the worn soft that they used in Qualy and the bug happens with the AI and not with us because we have a brand new tire and the AI has the tire with the added wear too

A.I. nor player can do a sprint race with just one soft and so if they pit, they lose 26 seconds. But even if they can, they wont have any soft left for feature race.
sprint race is short, it is standard 0 stop fresh set of hard. That leaves 1 hard and 1 soft for feature race.
Manually editting sprint race to 0 stop 1 of the hardest compound, fixes all tyre allocation bugs. The A.I. will do the same, they will copy your strategy if you do 0 stop 1 hard sprint strategy, because it is not only the fastest but it is actually the only possible strategy on Formula 2. According to the tyre allocation, you got 2 softs and one is for quali and one for feature race. Because you mandatorily need two different compounds for the feature race, you are thus obviously not allowed to use the soft in sprint race. But the games default strategy is bugged. And it also causes feature race to be bugged.
So just manually editting sprint strategy to 0 stop of hardest compound fixes all f2 career races.
- IAGOBERNARDES112 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@ivun3 that's exactly what you said, in the short and very short races the bug does not occur only in the long and complete mediums, it was just the codemasters and EA people to put the hard tires in medium, long and complete races in Sprint for the main strategy, and put the option of choosing the new hard tire left over in the main race because there is no way to select it and remove the two stops, go with just one stop in the main race. It shouldn't be hard to change that, right?
It should be opposite. Using the hardest (hard/medium) compound available during sprint race, with zero pitstops. That fixes all tyre allocation bugs.
If you do a 1 pitstop and use two tyres, the feature race becomes bugged.
So to fix this is very simple. Simply manually edit the sprint race strategy that has medium/hard in it. And remove the soft or supersoft. And the f2 career game is fixed. no more bugs.

on long runs 50% you say ? because in the long races the main strategy in sprint is already a hard/medium, and I don't stop in the sprint, I go to the end with a set of tires. in the average races of 35% the main strategy is to use soft tires in the sprint with 0 stops, this strategy is the same for the AI and if I set it to go with hard/medium in the sprint the AI will go soft.

This is wrong, if you use the harder tyre in the sprint then that tyre is almost completely worn and then you have to use it again in the feature which means you have to do 3 stops...
The problem can be summed up as, nor the user nor the ai are able to ever use all 3 harder tyres throughout a race weekend. You have one set available for practice, one avaliable for the sprint and then you have to use the very worn sprint tyre in the feature race meaning you have to 2 stop.
As for fixes, well there aren't any. I think if you start on the harder tyre in the feature race they will automatically go to 100% wear so don't do that (I saw someone say that if you don't have formation lap on then it doesn't do that so maybe try that) otherwise remove the harder tyre stint and put it at the end then choose to either three stop if extend your softer tyre stint to the max and do a one stop to the harder.
Another option is to two stop in the sprint so that you have a fresher set of the harder tyre, this will allow you to one stop in the feature easily.
Another idiotic thing is that your first set of the softer compund that you use in the feature is the one you used in quali, not the completely fresh set you have at your disposal lol

Sure you're correct.
CM should remove this mode from the game as they simply aren't going to or don't know how to maintain it. Frankly, it's been embarrassing since introduction.
I would say in-game player metrics mean you have almost zero chance of a fix.

I can confirm, bug still exist.
