I found that if you are playing F2 in 35% average races and you have the presentation lap on, the tires will come worn out is a bug, just remove the presentation lap they come with the wear you left in Qualy because in the feature race we used the Qualy tyre. now if you are playing long races 50% and complete 100% you have nothing to do, it's a bug that we can't put the hard tire (or medium depending on the weekend) and the game forces everyone to make 2 stops, use the new soft tyre, make the first stop, put the soft soft used in Qualy, and on the last lap put the only hard available in the feature race which is used in the Sprint, because in races 50% and 100% we use hard (or medium ) in the Sprint, the correct is 1 stop, start with the new soft and stop to put the new hard, but as the new hard doesn't appear we have to put the used hard in the Sprint. unfortunately it is a bug that does not appear the hard (or medium) left.
You cannot put hard on because that is a bug caused by using soft in sprint race. This is simply not allowed in formula 2. if I use hard on sprint race, no bug for sprint and no bug for feature race.
This is how official FIA Formula 2 rules are. 0 stop of the hardest compound in sprint.
But if you play shorther length sessions, which I haven't tested, it's better if EA Codemasters simply double or four fold tire wear depending on length of session. That way you can do full official Formula 2 tyre allocation ruleset even in shorter sessions.
If they have other procedures for short length sessions. Then they have to deviate from the official formula 2 fia rules (tyre allocation). And give shorter session length different set of compound tires that fit their desired short length sessions.
But as far as I know the game always will have 3 hard and 2 soft.
hard practice, soft quali, hard sprint, soft and hard feature race.
This is standard across all formula 2 weekends. In real life and also in the game.
So it's simply a matter of keeping formula 2 realistic even under shorter session length and fixing flawed bug cuasing default strategy for sprint race in full length sessions.
Maybe codemasters will give shorter session length players a different tyre allocation, for example, 2 hards and 3 softs. That would also fix the situation, but it is ofcourse a deviation from official fia formula 2 tyre allocation rules.
