F1 23 Fanatec Clubsport V2.5 stops working after qualifying during multiplayer

Product: F1 23
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Please specify your platform model. Sony PlayStation 4
Summarize your bug Fanatec Clubsport v.25 stops working shortly after qualifying has finished. Wheel is still responding on playstation menu but nothing in game.
What is your 16 digit Report Code? N/A
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? Virgin Media
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Multiplayer
Did you have cross-play enabled? Yes
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? During multiplayer mode qualifying, once qualifying has ended the wheel will just stop working. no warning messages on screen. This only happens if you are not the host.
What happens when the bug occurs? Can't advance game. no buttons work on wheel during game. Wheel is perfectly fine during single player mode and also other games.
What do you expect to see? Release update to resolve issue. This is very frustrating as I'm a league racer and cant do simple qualifying

@Mattyc_17 the Clubsport v2.5 Base is not PS compatible, do you use the Drive Hub for the Playstation? If so, it might be important to mention that

The wheel base is a fanatec gran turismo DD. This is compatible with playstation. As long as the base is compatible the wheel also becomes comparable. I've had no issues with f1 22, only seems to be 23

@Mattyc_17 then it would be good if you mention your base and not your steering wheel, if you write "Fanatec Clubsport V2.5" people might think it would be the base, that's why I asked.
It is a big problem if the base doesn't work, that should be investigated in any case.
    Have you updated the firmwares?

@Mattyc_17 Keeping firmwares up to date is also part of the problem solving, new games can have problems with a base with old firmware.

Firmwares are always being improved and upgraded to work well with newer hardware and software, so there is no reason not to update if you have the option.

Updating the wheel and base seems to have worked. Only done 1 league race so will keep updated if it happens again
