It happened to me this evening (and not only). I was racing when at some point the wheelbase switched from xbox mode to PC compatibility mode (the one with yellow light). Couldn't control anything and had to switch back to xbox mode manually. I really don't know what to do. The shaft is not loose and the firmware updated.

Have you all tried posting in the Fanatec forum?
There are some super knowledgeable people on there.

I've heard that this has happened even to some guys using a Thrustmaster, so I don't know if it's a Fanatec problem. Moreover, this evening it happened to me two times and always in the exact same place on track. Like literally same place.

Then please give us something replicable. Show us the place.
This thread won't have any traction if it can't be replicated. If you look at the thread replies from staff, stuff that is replicated will generally get looked at and in most instances, solved.
Without something to replicate (i.e. I can play the game, but my wheel doesn't disconnect, so) I'm not sure how to help.
Give us specifics and we will try.
